Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how the HireMee job portal at https://hiremee.eu (the "Website") uses cookies and similar technologies. The Website is operated by Planmee s. r. o., Company ID: 55 752 101, registered office: Závodská cesta 24, 010 01 Žilina, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Žilina, Section: Sro, Insert No. 83091/L (the "Operator", "we", "us").

We keep it simple: we use only cookies and browser storage that are needed for the Website to work or that remember choices you have made. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

1. Introductory provisions

This Cookie Policy applies to all visitors of the Website, whether you browse job offers without an account, use the Website as a job seeker ("Applicant") or as an employer ("Employer").

How we process personal data in general, and what rights you have, is described in our Privacy Policy (https://hiremee.eu/en/privacy). This Cookie Policy supplements it.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. When you visit the website again, your browser sends the cookie back, so the website can recognise, for example, that you are signed in.

Similar technologies include the browser's local storage ("localStorage"). It also stores small pieces of data in your browser, but unlike cookies it is not sent to the server automatically. Data in localStorage stays in your browser until it is deleted.

Cookies can be "first-party" (set by the website you are visiting) or "third-party" (set by another domain). They can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or "persistent" cookies (kept for a set period).

3. Legal basis

Under Section 109(8) of the Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, information may be stored in or read from your device without your consent if this is strictly necessary to provide a service that you have explicitly requested.

All cookies and storage items we use fall into this category. They are either strictly necessary (for example, keeping you signed in) or functional, meaning they only remember a choice you made yourself (your language or the jobs you saved). For this reason we do not ask for your consent and the Website does not display a cookie consent banner.

Where these technologies involve personal data, we process it on the basis of performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) for sign-in, and on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in a functional, secure and user-friendly Website for the other purposes.

We do not use advertising, marketing or profiling cookies, and we do not allow third-party advertising trackers on the Website. If we ever wanted to use technologies that require consent, we would ask for it in advance and update this policy.

4. Categories we use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the Website to work, in particular for signing in and keeping your session. Without them you cannot use your account.
  • Functional — remember choices you make, such as your language or saved job offers. Without them the Website still works, but it will not remember these choices.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies or social media cookies.

5. Overview of cookies and storage items

Each entry shows: name — purpose — type — storage — lifetime — party.

  • auth_token — keeps an Employer (company account) signed in and authenticates requests to the Website — strictly necessary — cookie — session (deleted when you close the browser or sign out) — first party
  • auth_applicant_token — keeps an Applicant (job seeker account) signed in and authenticates requests to the Website — strictly necessary — cookie — session (deleted when you close the browser or sign out) — first party
  • i18n_redirected — remembers the language version of the Website, detected from your browser settings or chosen by you — functional — cookie — 1 year — first party
  • i18n_locale — remembers the language you selected in the language switcher — functional — localStorage — until you delete it — first party
  • saved_jobs — stores the list of job offers you saved (identifiers of the offers only) — functional — localStorage — until you remove the jobs or delete the data — first party

The authentication cookies are set only after you sign in. They are sent only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and are restricted to our Website. Some browsers restore previous sessions when restarted; in that case session cookies may last longer, until you sign out.

Saved jobs are stored only in your browser. They are not sent to our servers and are not linked to your account. If you use another browser or device, your saved jobs will not be there.

6. Web analytics

On the live Website we use a privacy-friendly web analytics tool. Its script is loaded from the server um.dfanalytics.eu.

According to its design, the tool does not set cookies, does not store anything in your browser and does not track you across other websites. It measures visits only in aggregate, for example how many times a page was viewed, which website referred visitors, or which types of browsers and devices are used.

We use these aggregated statistics only to understand how the Website is used and to improve it. We do not use them to identify individual visitors or to create profiles. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

7. Third-party resources

Google Fonts: the Website uses fonts provided by Google. When a page loads, your browser downloads them directly from Google servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). For this, your IP address and technical information about your browser are transmitted to Google. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in a consistent and readable presentation of the Website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). According to Google, the Google Fonts service does not set cookies. Further information is available in Google's privacy policy.

Social sharing buttons: job offers include buttons for sharing on Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Reddit. They are simple links. Nothing is loaded from these networks and no data is sent to them until you click a button. After you click, the chosen network opens in a new window, and from that moment its own terms, privacy policy and cookie policy apply.

8. Personal data

The authentication cookies contain a token linked to your user account. They therefore involve personal data. We use them only to verify that you are signed in and for no other purpose.

The other items (language and saved jobs) do not contain your name, e-mail or other contact details.

Details on how long we keep personal data, who receives it and what rights you have (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability and the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic) are set out in our Privacy Policy (https://hiremee.eu/en/privacy).

9. How to manage and delete cookies

You can view, block or delete cookies and other site data in your browser settings at any time. Deleting "cookies and other site data" usually also deletes localStorage. You can delete data for all websites or for hiremee.eu only (usually via the padlock icon next to the address bar).

The exact steps depend on your browser and its version. In general:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data (Cookies and other site data), or Third-party cookies / Site settings to manage cookies for individual websites.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data or Manage Data.
  • Apple Safari: Settings (Preferences) → Privacy → Manage Website Data; on iPhone and iPad: Settings → Safari → Clear History and Website Data.
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.

Most browsers also offer a private (incognito) mode. In this mode cookies and localStorage are deleted when you close the window.

10. What happens if you delete or block cookies

  • If you delete the authentication cookies, you will be signed out and will need to sign in again.
  • If you block cookies for the Website, you will not be able to sign in as an Applicant or Employer.
  • If you delete localStorage, your saved jobs will be lost permanently, because they are not stored on our servers.
  • If you delete the language cookie or localStorage, the Website may show a different language version until you choose your language again.

You can still browse job offers without cookies.

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy, for example when we change the technologies we use or when the law changes. We will publish the current version on the Website together with the date of the last update.

If we start using technologies that require your consent, we will ask for your consent before using them.

12. Contact

If you have any questions about cookies or about the processing of your personal data, please contact us at [email protected].
