Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These Terms of Service govern the use of the HireMee job portal available at https://hiremee.eu. Please read them carefully before you create an account or use the portal.
By creating an account, applying to a job offer or publishing a job offer, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the portal.
1. Introductory provisions
The HireMee portal is operated by Planmee s. r. o., company ID: 55 752 101, tax ID: 2122075395, registered office: Závodská cesta 24, 010 01 Žilina, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Žilina, Section: Sro, Insert No. 83091/L (the "Operator").
You can contact the Operator by e-mail at [email protected].
HireMee is an online job portal focused on industrial and technical jobs, such as welding, construction, manufacturing, plumbing, electrical work and metalworking. The portal is available in English, Slovak and German.
These Terms apply to all users of the portal, whether or not they have an account. The Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy also apply.
2. Definitions
In these Terms:
- Portal – the HireMee website at https://hiremee.eu, including all its language versions and features.
- Operator – Planmee s. r. o., identified in section 1.
- User – any person who visits or uses the Portal, with or without an account.
- Applicant – a natural person who creates an applicant account to look for work and apply to job offers.
- Employer – a company, entrepreneur or other organisation that creates an employer account to publish job offers and recruit staff.
- Job offer – an advertisement for a vacancy published by an Employer on the Portal.
- Application – an Applicant’s response to a job offer, including profile data, expected salary, an optional cover letter and attachments.
- Account – the protected part of the Portal assigned to an Applicant or an Employer.
3. Account creation and access
You can browse job offers without an account. To apply for a job or publish a job offer, you need an account.
- Applicants sign in with their e-mail address and a one-time verification code that we send to that address. The code is valid for 15 minutes. Applicant accounts do not use a password.
- Employers register with an e-mail address and a password of at least 8 characters. A forgotten password can be reset via a link sent by e-mail. The link is valid for 30 minutes.
- The Operator may verify an Employer before all features are made available. Verification usually takes 1–2 business days.
- Each person may have only one applicant account and each company only one employer account, unless the Operator agrees otherwise.
- You must provide a valid e-mail address that you control. Account data must be true and kept up to date.
You are responsible for keeping your e-mail account, password and verification codes safe. Do not share them with anyone. If you suspect that your account has been misused, contact us at [email protected] without delay. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account, unless the misuse was caused by the Operator.
4. Rights and obligations of Applicants
Applicants may create a profile, search job offers, save offers in their browser, apply to job offers and follow the status of their Applications (pending review, accepted, rejected) under "My applications". Applicants may also be notified of status changes by e-mail.
Using the Portal is free of charge for Applicants.
When you apply, your Application, including your profile data and attachments, is made available to the Employer that published the job offer. You can add up to 3 attachments to an Application in PDF, DOC or DOCX format, each up to 5 MB.
As an Applicant, you must:
- provide true, accurate and up-to-date information about yourself, your education, work experience and skills;
- upload only your own documents or documents you are entitled to use, and not include personal data of other people without a legal basis;
- not upload files containing viruses, malware or other harmful code;
- apply only to job offers you are genuinely interested in, and not send mass or automated applications;
- communicate with Employers respectfully and lawfully.
Saved jobs are stored only in your browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, they will be lost.
Only the Employer decides whether to invite you to an interview or hire you. The Operator is not a party to any employment relationship.
5. Rights and obligations of Employers
Employers may create a company profile, publish job offers, extend application deadlines, review Applications, download attachments and accept or reject Applications.
As an Employer, you must:
- publish only real, existing vacancies that you intend to fill;
- make sure your job offers are lawful and non-discriminatory, in particular under the Slovak Labour Code, Act No. 5/2004 Coll. on Employment Services, Act No. 365/2004 Coll. (Anti-Discrimination Act) and the law applicable at the place of work; you must not request information or set criteria based on sex, age, ethnic origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, family status or other protected characteristics, unless the law allows it;
- state the salary, type of employment, place of work and other conditions accurately and not mislead Applicants;
- not ask Applicants for any fee, deposit or other payment in connection with the recruitment or the job;
- use Applicants’ personal data only for the recruitment for the job offer they applied to, and not pass it on to third parties or use it for marketing without a legal basis;
- keep your company profile, contact details and job offers up to date, and close offers that are no longer available.
For Applicants’ personal data received through the Portal, the Employer is an independent controller under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). The Employer is responsible for its own processing, including informing Applicants, setting retention periods, keeping the data secure and handling data subject requests. Copies of Applications that the Employer downloads or stores outside the Portal are kept under the Employer’s own responsibility.
The Employer is liable for the content of its job offers and company profile and for its conduct towards Applicants.
6. Prohibited content and conduct
Users must not use the Portal in a way that is unlawful or harms the Operator, other Users or third parties. In particular, it is prohibited to:
- publish fake, misleading or fraudulent job offers, including pyramid schemes, offers that require payment in advance and offers that are in fact advertising for goods or services;
- publish offers of illegal work, including undeclared work, or offers connected with human trafficking, sexual services or other exploitation;
- publish content that is discriminatory, defamatory, vulgar, threatening or hateful, or that infringes the rights of others, including intellectual property rights;
- impersonate another person or company, or create accounts with false identity data;
- upload viruses, malware or other harmful code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Portal, other users’ accounts or the Operator’s systems;
- collect data of other Users, in particular by automated means (scraping, bots), or use the Portal to send unsolicited messages;
- disrupt the operation of the Portal or overload it;
- use the Portal in breach of these Terms or applicable law.
7. Moderation, removal of content and suspension of accounts
The Operator does not check all content before it is published. However, it may review job offers, company profiles and other content at any time, especially after receiving a notice.
Anyone can report content they consider illegal or in breach of these Terms by e-mail to [email protected]. Please describe the content, where it is located and why you consider it problematic. We will handle the notice without undue delay.
If content or conduct breaches these Terms or the law, the Operator may, depending on the seriousness of the breach:
- refuse to publish, hide or remove a job offer or other content;
- refuse or revoke the verification of an Employer;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- terminate an account and prevent a new registration.
The Operator acts proportionately. It informs the affected User of the measure and the reasons for it, unless this is impossible or prohibited by law. The User may object by e-mail to [email protected], and the Operator will review its decision.
In serious cases, such as fraud, a threat to the safety of Users or suspected criminal activity, the Operator may act immediately and inform the competent authorities.
8. Price
Using the Portal is currently free of charge for both Applicants and Employers.
The Operator may introduce paid services for Employers in the future. Paid services will only be provided under a separate agreement or price list accepted by the Employer in advance. No fees will be charged without the Employer’s explicit consent, and features that are currently free will not become paid without prior notice.
Searching and applying for jobs will remain free of charge for Applicants.
9. Intellectual property
The Portal, its design, software, logos, the HireMee name and other content created by the Operator are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. You may use them only to the extent necessary for normal use of the Portal.
Users keep their rights to the content they upload (job offers, profiles, logos, CVs and other documents). By uploading content, you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence, for as long as the content is stored on the Portal, to store, display, adapt to the Portal’s format and make available this content for the purpose of operating the Portal. This includes generating previews of job offers when they are shared via links. Applications are made available only to the relevant Employer.
You confirm that you hold the rights needed to upload such content and that it does not infringe the rights of third parties.
Copying, systematic downloading or other reuse of the Portal’s content or database without the Operator’s prior written consent is prohibited.
10. Limitation of liability
The Portal is an intermediary: it allows Employers to publish job offers and Applicants to apply to them. The Operator is not a party to any contract or employment relationship between an Applicant and an Employer and does not act on behalf of either of them.
The Operator does not guarantee that:
- an Applicant will find a job or an Employer will fill a vacancy;
- the information in job offers, company profiles or Applications is correct, complete and up to date – the User who published it is responsible for it;
- the Portal will be available without interruption or errors. The Operator may restrict access for maintenance, updates or security reasons, with advance notice where possible.
The Operator is not liable for damage caused by the content or conduct of Users, by decisions of Employers or Applicants, or by events beyond its reasonable control (for example outages of networks or third-party services).
If the Operator becomes aware of illegal content, it will remove it or disable access to it without undue delay.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under mandatory law, in particular liability for damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, or affects the rights of consumers.
We recommend that you check Employers and job offers yourself and never pay money to get a job.
11. Personal data and cookies
The Operator processes Users’ personal data as a controller in accordance with the GDPR and Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data. Details, including your rights as a data subject, are set out in the Privacy Policy at https://hiremee.eu/en/privacy.
When you apply, your Application is made available to the relevant Employer, which then processes the data as an independent controller (see section 5).
Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in the Cookie Policy at https://hiremee.eu/en/cookies. The Portal uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies and browser storage, and privacy-friendly web analytics that, by design, does not set cookies. It does not use advertising cookies.
12. Termination and account deletion
You can stop using the Portal at any time. To delete your account, send a request from the e-mail address linked to your account to [email protected]. We will delete the account and related data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep certain data for longer.
Deleting an applicant account does not delete copies of Applications that Employers have already downloaded or stored. Employers keep them under their own responsibility, and you can exercise your rights directly with the relevant Employer.
Before deleting an employer account, the Employer should download any data it needs and fulfil its obligations towards Applicants.
The Operator may stop providing its services to a User who breaches these Terms, as described in section 7. For other serious reasons, the Operator may terminate an account or discontinue the Portal; where possible, it will inform affected Users by e-mail at least 30 days in advance.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms and the legal relationships arising from the use of the Portal are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic, in particular the Civil Code (Act No. 40/1964 Coll.) and, in relations with Employers acting in the course of business, the Commercial Code (Act No. 513/1991 Coll.). If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of the country of your habitual residence.
Disputes will be decided by the competent courts of the Slovak Republic. This does not affect a consumer’s right to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of residence where the law provides for it.
If you are a consumer and are not satisfied with how the Operator handled your complaint, or you believe the Operator has violated your rights, please contact the Operator first at [email protected]. If the Operator rejects your request or does not reply within 30 days of its sending, you may submit a proposal for alternative dispute resolution under Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on Alternative Dispute Resolution of Consumer Disputes.
The competent alternative dispute resolution body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia), Bajkalská 21/A, P. O. BOX 29, 827 99 Bratislava, Slovakia, www.soi.sk. You may also turn to another authorised body entered in the list kept by the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic. You are free to choose which body to approach.
The European Commission’s online dispute resolution (ODR) platform, previously available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, was discontinued on 20 July 2025 under Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Consumers from other EU member states can contact the alternative dispute resolution body directly or ask the European Consumer Centre in their country for help.
14. Changes to the Terms and final provisions
The Operator may change these Terms, for example due to changes in the law, new features of the Portal or security reasons. We will publish the new version on the Portal and inform registered Users by e-mail at least 14 days before it takes effect. Changes required by law or by urgent security reasons may take effect sooner.
If you do not agree with the changes, you can have your account deleted before they take effect (see section 12). If you continue to use your account after the changes take effect, you accept the new version.
If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in force. The invalid provision will be replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its purpose.
These Terms are available in English, Slovak and German. In case of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
These Terms take effect on 1 October 2026.
